I think it's actually quite difficult to think about an image like this without laughing, because of course sex is funny and everyone in the world, young and old, laughs at it one time or another. For that reason, I'm going to critique this on its humorous value be fore I approach anything else. And I've got to be honest with you, when I spotted it my immediate reaction was to laugh. I don't know whether or not it was the artist's intention that this should be funny, but frankly everything from the look on this lovely girl's face to the subject actually implied by the image per se is really quite amusing.
Set that aside and you have quite a good concrete piece. If the objective of the piece isn't humour, then it will probably be the delivery of a message of some kind. Perhaps it's a protest against the way some people disrespect their partners and merely use them for sexual pleasure and then discard them, or perhaps against the disrespect of the sexual act itself, as some consider it sacred. And perhaps this piece is about sexual fantasy. I'm sure people who have actually used sex dolls have closed their eyes and imagined that they were in fact with a beautiful girl, perhaps their favourite celebrity or someone they know but wouldn't dare touch. It's too hard for me to tell without some insight into the mind of the artist.
This piece is also very well presented. Picture is clear, well-lit and exposed, the colours are vivid without seeming garish and the photo has clearly been taken with care and in a professional manner. The model's face is well-composed and the image definitely captures what most people would recognise as the visage of a sex doll. The artist has clearly taken time to thinak bout exactly how the finished work should look before starting any actual production.
It amazes me how realistic those dolls look, but for the money you pay for them they better be perfect.
My only complaint with this doll is the mouth. I understand the purpose of having it positioned like that, but it's unnatural looking in any other situation. They should at least have a dynamic jaw to allow 2 or 3 facial structures. (Probably exists, but I haven't seen a model like that yet.)
Nonetheless, wow she's gorgeous. I really love the hair and the eyes. After having experienced marriage and the way women get after being with them for too long, I'd honestly have to say I'd spring for one of these things if they didn't cost so much.
